Eight New Counties Now Eligible to Join

Wichita Falls, TX (June 6, 2022) – Texoma Community Credit Union (TCCU) expanded its charter to include eight new counties in its field of membership. Previously, potential members were required to reside or work in one of 11 designated counties within Texas: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger, and Young. That eligibility of membership has now expanded to include anyone who resides, works, attends school, or worships in Cooke, Denton, Grayson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens, Tarrant and Wise Counties, Texas.

“TCCU has been on a path of exceptional growth for some time now. Through this period of growth we’ve seen the demand for our products and services from those who were not previously eligible to join the credit union,” said John Buckley, President and CEO of TCCU. “While our footprint has expanded, it is Wichita Falls that will grow – it is our expectation that this expansion will lead to job growth locally as we work to provide the personalized service members know and love.”

TCCU currently operates three branches within Wichita County – one on Sheppard Access Road, one on Southwest Parkway, and its newest Downtown. At this time, there are no plans to open new branches.

“Wichita Falls is and will continue to be our headquarters and home base,” said Ripley Tate, President of the TCCU Board of Directors. “While TCCU will now be able to serve friends and family further from home through robust electronic services, the economic impact of this expansion will ultimately benefit the Wichita Falls community.”
