It isn’t easy to think of adults as victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Yet every day in Texoma, there are men and women who need the assistance of Adult Protective Services. APS works to remove these individuals from harm’s way, but can not always provide everything they need in the way of everyday necessities of life.

So each year at TCCU, we host a gift-giving program for clients of Adult Protective Services. Through the generosity of our members, staff, and community we are able to give some Christmas cheer to those in need.

You can help by donating a modest gift of needed items or money to the TCCU Tree of Life project. Learn about the specific needs of the individuals you are helping. They are listed on cards with the ornaments adorning the Christmas trees in the Texoma Community Credit Union lobbies at 4019 Southwest Parkway (next to IHOP), 3800 Sheppard Access (near McDonalds), and 807 8th Street (Downtown by Park Central).

Ornaments will be available starting Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Pick an ornament, and discover what it is the recipient of your gift needs. It is often something like a small appliance, personal hygiene items, or articles of clothing. Take the ornament to a TCCU employee, and register as a project participant. They’ll explain how you should bring the gift to TCCU unwrapped, in an unsealed gift bag.

Please drop off the gifts to TCCU by Saturday, December 11 so APS can distribute the gifts in time for Christmas.

If you would prefer to donate money to the Tree of Life Project, you may do so by depositing funds to a special account that has been set up at Texoma Community Credit Union.
