Account Safety Notice: Third-Party Loan Websites


Texoma Community Credit Union (TCCU) would like to remind its members and the Texoma community at large to remain cautious when applying for loans via third party websites.

TCCU recently received a report from one of our members of a phone scam after they applied for a loan online via a third-party website (not Within 24 hours of applying, someone contacted them fictitiously using the TCCU main phone number (940-851-4000).  They were told they have been pre-approved for a loan. During the phone call, the caller solicited personal information. 

We would like you to know that these phone calls are not legitimate. We will never call and ask for account information over the phone. If you receive one of these calls, hang up and do not provide any personal information.

We can report that our website remains secure, as does the loan application module on our website. For your safety, please apply through, or call us directly for your lending needs.

If you receive a phone call coming from a TCCU phone number and suspect it may be fraudulent, please hang up and call us directly at 940-851-4000.

We have reported this activity to the Financial Crimes Unit of the Wichita Falls Police Department, and will continue to work with them on this issue for the safety of our members and our community.
