Welcome New Advisor Director
Texoma Community Credit Union welcomes local business leader Vanda Cullar on its board as an Advisor Director. Mrs. Cullar’s background in business and work at the Small Business Development Center will be a great resource to TCCU as it expands its business services and lending department. “We look forward to working with Vanda and learning from her experience in this arena. She will be a valuable asset to us and we are delighted she has agreed to serve on our advisory board,” President and CEO Wayne Mansur said.
Growing up in a family-owned business was a great foundation for Vanda’s career as Executive Director of the SBDC. As a senior management major, her advisor asked her to assist in writing a grant proposal to bring an SBDC to the Wichita Falls area. She and Richard Noe opened the Midwestern State University Small Business Development Center on September 15, 1987, and as they say, the rest is history. The program has recently rebranded nationally and is America’s SBDC at MSU.
Vanda knows God gave her the gift of service and has a passion for helping others. She currently serves on the Texas Association of Business State Board. Locally she serves on the boards for Project Back To School and Partners in Education. She also serves on various other business committees. Vanda enjoys volunteering at The Kemp Center for the Arts and at Colonial Church.
She is married to Rick Cullar, a 19-year veteran of the WFPD. They enjoy cooking, family, friends, and the outdoors. Together they have five children. Her children and two grandchildren, Evan and Madix, are her favorite topics!
